Grandchildren who look exactly like their celebrity grandparents
It’s often easy to spot the resemblance in the looks of siblings, or parents and their children, but some facial features span multiple generations. We’ve got proof of that right here, as we’ve compiled photos of the grandchildren of some of the most famous people on earth, and compared them to their celebrity grandparents. The similarities absolutely shocked us.
One of the most successful musicians of all time needs no introduction, as Paul McCartney has been rocking music enthusiasts for more than half a century. McCartney has been inducted twice into the Rock Hall of Fame, once for his involvement with The Beatles, and another for his successful solo career.
McCartney married Linda Eastman in 1969, and their first child together was a daughter named Mary. As Mary grew up, she embodied many of the facial characteristics of Paul, including a long, slim face. Mary married Alistair Donald in 1998, and a year later they had a child that shares an uncanny resemblance to Paul McCartney.
Arthur Donald: Grandson of Paul McCartney
Arthur Donald was born on April 3, 1999, which makes him 20 years old today. The photo of McCartney below was taken in 1962, which makes them the same age, and as you can see that in terms of looks, the apple has not fallen far from the tree.
Donald was the first of eight grandchildren and shares the look of his grandfather more than the others. Presently, he’s attending Yale University and has had previously been romantically linked the daughter of Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillipe. This is evidence that they subscribe to the belief that beautiful people + beautiful people = beautiful people.
Elizabeth Taylor spent just about her entire life in the spotlight, as she had well-known performances in films such as Father of the Bride, Cleopatra, and Butterfield 8, which won her an Academy Award for Best Actress. She would go on to win another Best Actress award for her role in Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf in 1967.
Taylor lived a decidedly promiscuous lifestyle, as she was married eight different times to seven different men and had four children. One of those marriages was to Mike Todd, and the two had one child together, a daughter named Elizabeth “Liza” Frances Todd.
Quinn Tivey: Grandson of Elizabeth Taylor
Tragically, when Liza was less than a year old, her father was killed in a plane crash. But Liza would grow up and have a child named Quinn Tivey, after having married Hap Tivey. The two would later divorce, but Quinn certainly got his grandmother’s looks.
The two have thick eyebrows, and light eyes, and while Quinn’s chin is more angular, their noses are almost identical. Their passions were almost identical too, as Quinn starred in many films early in his life, and presently at the age of 33, he is a co-trustee at the Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation, which she started back in 1985.
If you don’t know who Elvis Presley is, then you don’t live on planet earth. Welcome. Now, the formal tour will start with an introduction to the King. Presley is the best selling solo artist ever, perhaps selling as many as one billion records. He not only has the most Billboard Top 40 hits (115) but also Top 100 (152).
All that, and he never actually wrote a song that he recorded. In 1967 when he was 32 years old, he robbed the cradle by marrying 22-year-old Priscilla (she was 14 when they started dating). Though they divorced in 1973, she was his true love and only wife. They also only had one child, a daughter named Lisa Marie.
Riley Keough: Elvis Presley’s granddaughter
Lisa Marie Presley became a musician like her father and has enjoyed some success on the silver screen. She’s been divorced four times, and her husbands include Michael Jackson, Nicholas Cage, and musician Danny Keough, with whom she had a daughter and son.
Their eldest daughter was Riley Keough, whose budding acting career is just getting going. She has inherent advantages with her looks, as Elvis is just about the prettiest man to ever walk the earth. Their eyes are a definite match, while their jawline is a near-flawless parabola. Even little details like their ears and lush lips are unbelievably similar.
Classic beauty Grace Kelly captured America’s attention as an actress in films such as High Noon, Dial M for Murder, and How to Catch a Thief. Then, she captured the world’s imagination when she shocked everyone and became the Princess of Monaco.
Move over Megan Markle, as Grace Kelly was the OG actress turned princess. Kelly is considered the 13th best actress of all time by AFI, but her career only lasted a few short years. She left Hollywood in 1956 to assume her duties as a princess, and the following year she and Prince Rainier III had a daughter named Caroline.
Charlotte Casiraghi: Grace Kelly’s granddaughter
Princess Grace would go on to have two more children, but unfortunately for her, she died in a car accident in 1982. Four years later, her daughter Caroline would give birth to Charlotte Casiraghi, who had success of her own as a prominent writer and editor.
The two drop-dead gorgeous ladies share so many of the same features, including the same jawline and chin, and very much the same lips and nose. The only real noticeable difference is their complexion. However, it may surprise many to learn that Princess Grace was not a natural blonde, so maybe she didn’t have more fun after all.
Beautiful Anne Gwynne was one of Hollywood’s original “scream queens,” as she seemed to always find herself at the receiving end of bad things in horror movies. She’s best remembered for her roles in Black Friday and House of Frankenstein, before she found steady work on television.
Gwynne married fellow actor and producer Max M. Gilford in 1945, and the pair had a girl named Gwynne Gilford, who had a successful acting career of her own. She later married and had two children with another actor named Robert Pine, and one of those children is in midst of a superb acting career.
Chris Pine: Grandson of Anne Gwynne
Captain Kirk, Jack Ryan, and Robert the Bruce are just a sprinkling of the roles Anne Gwynne’s grandson, Chris Pine, has played during his successful Hollywood career. This shouldn’t be any surprise to anyone, as Pine has actor grandparents, parents, aunts, uncles, and even his sister.
Pine has a few more masculine features as his grandmother, as his jaw is a bit more angular at the front with a prominent chin. However, both have a high forehead, and perhaps Gwynne plucked her eyebrows to pacify the bushy ones that Pine ended up with. Lips, nose, and cheekbones are a near exact match however, as good looks and talent seem to run in the family.
Henry Fonda was basically paterfamilias of a Hollywood dynasty, producing an outstanding actor in son Peter, and one of the most talented and sexiest actresses ever in his daughter Jane. Fonda is best known for his roles in The Grapes of Wrath, 12 Angry Men, and On Golden Pond, for which he won an Academy Award for Best Actor.
Fonda was married five times in his life, but it was with his first wife, Francis Ford Seymour Brokaw, that he fathered two children. Fonda and Brokaw were married for less than three years, but both followed in their father’s footsteps. Peter later married an artist named Susan Jane Brewer, and the two produced another famous Fonda.
Bridget Fonda: Granddaughter of Henry Fonda
Bridget Fonda was born on Jan. 27, 1955, and just like her grandfather, father, and aunt, she became a successful actress. Though she’s the daughter of Peter, she largely followed the track of her aunt, as Bridget found herself in sexy roles that had audiences gasping for air.
All of the Fonda actors share blue eyes, a pale-ish complexion, and a prominent forehead. They each also possess a smile that could light up a room. Bridget Fonda abruptly left Hollywood in the early 2000s after bad car crash. She’s been raising her children ever since in private, as she doesn’t even have a Facebook or Instagram account.
Jackie Onassis was a young 31 years old when she became First Lady of the United States. Upon her arrival at the White House in 1961, she transformed not only the design of the president’s mansion but also the role of the First Lady altogether.
Jackie’s style and grace are highly regarded, as she was rated as one of the most admired men and women of the 20th century by TIME magazine. While married to John, she had four kids, though two of them tragically died in infancy. However, their oldest daughter Caroline grew up to have a distinguished political career.
Rose Schlossberg: Jackie Onassis’ granddaughter
Caroline met a Metropolitan Museum Exhibit Designer named Edwin Schlossberg, and the two were married in 1986. Two years later they had Rose, who is the eldest granddaughter of Onassis. She graduated from Harvard in 2010, and many have commented on how much they look alike, as the resemblance is uncanny.
Both share a low, undefined hairline, and a flat chin that is semi-rounded, which makes their faces appear a little shorter than they actually are. They also both share prominent, yet soft cheekbones, and thin long lips. Ah heck, just about every facial feature they have appears similar or the same. Just look at them!
Gregory Peck was an early version of the cool and quiet Hollywood star. He’s best known for his roles in Twelve O’Clock High, Cape Fear, and To Kill a Mockingbird, which netted him his lone Academy Award for Best Actor (after his fifth nomination, good grief!).
Though Peck was probably just as promiscuous as others on this list, he was only married twice, and he had five children from those marriages. His first wife was a Swedish born Greta Kukkonen, who he mas married to from 1942-1955. They had three sons, including Stephen Peck in 1946, who almost looks identical to his grandfather.
Ethan Peck: Gregory Peck’s grandson
Stephen had a child with abstract artist Francine Matarazzo in 1986, and his name is Ethan Peck. Ethan has enjoyed limited success as an actor, appearing in TV shows such as That 70s Show and 10 Things I Hate About You.
The two men probably look more alike than any other pairing on this list. Their hair and hairline are identical, as is the case for their forehead and eyes. The similarities extend to their noses and their lips, while the shape of their jaw and chin make it look like Gregory was basically reincarnated. The only difference is, Gregory was two inches taller. That’s really about it.
Steve McQueen was another Hollywood actor that optimized the word cool. One time when he was arrested in Alaska he did cartwheels down the road to evade police. Best known for his roles in The Great Escape, The Magnificent Seven, and the Thomas Crown Affair, McQueen was nominated for Best Actor only once, and never took home the award.
McQueen was married three different times to three different women and had two children with his first wife, Filipino actress Neile Adams. The couple were married from 1956 until their divorce in 1972 and had a son named Chad on Dec. 28, 1960.
Steven R. McQueen: Steve McQueen’s grandson
Chad McQueen later married a woman named Stacey Toten, and the two of them had Steven R. McQueen on July 13, 1988. Since the early 2000s, the young McQueen has had limited success as an actor, starring in such films as Piranha 3D and the Vampire Diaries, and shows such as Chicago Fire.
Steve McQueen looks a little older in this photo, but the resemblance between the two is still obvious. One day Ethan’s hairline will recede, and until then their foreheads look identical. Their eyes seem to light up when they smile, and now that we can see their teeth, it looks someone just cropped them out of Steve, pasted it onto Steven, and added color.
Speaking of beautiful people, there aren’t too many who can match the grace, style, and gorgeous looks of actress Audrey Hepburn. Hepburn dazzled audiences in films such as Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Sabrina (seen below), and Roman Holiday, which was a role that won her the very first ever Best Actress award.
Hepburn married fellow actor Mel Ferrar in 1954, and at first, efforts to conceive a child were met with tragedy. Hepburn suffered two miscarriages, including one caused by her falling off a horse while filming The Unforgiven. She became pregnant again and took a year off of filming to give birth to Sean Hepburn Ferrar.
Emma Ferrar: Granddaughter of Audrey Hepburn
Sean Hepburn Ferrar had a daughter with a woman named Leila Flannigan, and they named her Emma Ferrar, and as you can see she shares a striking resemblance to Audrey Hepburn. Their eyebrows are extremely similar, and while Ferrar’s chin is a touch more prominent, they both have the same delicate rounded feature.
Likewise for their noses and ears, with maybe a slight difference in complexion. Ferrar has made a name for herself as a model, scoring the cover of Harper’s Bazaar in Aug. 2014. Since then she’s done some film work, but not on the same level as her grandma, which would be hard, because her grandma is Audrey fricken Hepburn.
We know what you’re thinking, and the answer is “yes.” That’s actor Kirk Douglas rubbing the belly of a lion cub! It was gifted to him by the Southport zoo in appreciation for his perhaps his most famous role, Spartacus. With a ton of cinematic achievements under his belt, the American Film Institute (AFI) ranked him the 17th best actor of all time.
Douglas married his first wife, Diana Dill, in 1943, and from this marriage, they had son’s Michael, and Joel. The couple would divorce in 1951, and Douglas would later remarry to Anne Buydens in 1954 and is married to her to this day. But it was son Michael who captured the family looks.
Cameron Douglas: Kirk Douglas’ grandson
Kirk’s son Michael would go on to enjoy his own successes in Hollywood, including getting married to the classic beauty, Catherine Zeta-Jones. But before they were tied the knot Michael was married to Diandra Luker in 1977, and they had a son named Cameron a year later.
The two men share a similar chin, though evolution seems to have ironed out that buttoned chin. From the nose up the two look almost identical, though they didn’t enjoy identical success in their careers. Cameron starred in a few movies in the late 1990s and early 2000s, but legal troubles stemming from drug addiction landed him in jail in 2011.
Fortunately for us, we’ll be talking about the actress on the right, Tippi Hedren, as opposed to her Raven friend, “Buddy.” However, both starred in one of the most famous movies ever made: Alfred Hitchcock’s The Birds. She won a Golden Globe for Best Actress for her role, and the next year starred in another Hitchcock film, the sex mystery Marnie in 1964.
Hedren was engaged four times and had a hat-trick of marriages. When she was 32 years old she robbed the cradle in 1952 when she married stage actor Peter Griffith, who was 18 at the time. The two divorced nine years later, but not before they had Melanie, who would go on to have a budding Hollywood career.
Stella Banderas: Tippi Hedren’s granddaughter
Melanie Griffith was born on Aug. 9, 1957, and is best known for her work in Working Girl and Shining Through. She’s also well known for her marriage to actor husband Antonio Banderas. Though the two divorced in 2014, they had two famous actress daughters: Dakota Johnson, and Tippi Hedren lookalike Stella Banderas.
Their chin is so much alike it looks like Stella stole it from her grandmother. They both also have thin eyebrows, prominent foreheads, and beautiful big lips. Stella had some initial success in film, and after a long hiatus, she has returned to acting and is being taught by the same acting coach as her mother.
The perennial top dog of literature written in the English language was as much a titan of life as he was in his craft. The famous author and war correspondent Ernest Hemingway was famous for his novels such as A Farewell to Arms, The Sun Also Rises, and The Old Man and the Sea.
Hemingway had four wives, and three boys from two of them (and a partridge in a pear tree). His son Jack was born on Oct. 10, 1923, and he later had a famous daughter named Mariel. In fact, many Hemingway’s went on to fame, as he has a lineage of models and actresses.
Dree Hemingway: Ernest Hemingway’s great-granddaughter
Mariel Hemingway was sadly born months after her father’s death, but she carved her own career out, and you might recognize her for her work in Woody Allens’ Manhattan. On top of a budding Hollywood career, Mariel also had two children, including actress and model Dree Hemingway on Dec. 4, 1987.
Dree shares many of her great grandfather’s facial characteristics when he was a young man. Her jaw is no less prominent than the famous writer, and their cheekbones, lips, and forehead are a spitting image. You got to give it up for Ernest, as he’s one of the worlds greatest authors and got the looks to match. Not fair!
Bob Dylan was such an influence on music and society that TIME magazine included him on their list of 100 Most Important People of the 20th Century. He would have a meteoric music career, with hits such as “A Hard Rain’s A-Gonna Fall,” and music that was so culturally influential that he won the Nobel Prize for literature in 2016.
Dylan was married twice and had six children with his two wives. His first wife was an actress and model named Sara Dylan. The two were married in 1966, then had four children, including their eldest son Jesse, who was born in 1966.
Pablo Dylan: Bob Dylan’s grandson
Jesse became a successful videographer and filmmaker and had two children with his wife Susan Taylor. One of those children was a son named Pablo, who was born in 1995. Pablo hit the music scene years ago as a rapper, but after a terrible reaction from everyone, he’s returned to the music scene as a folk singer, just like his grandfather.
Both Dylan’s look as though they just woke up from a nap, as their eyes are half-open and their curly hair is exploding out of their heads. Bob Dylan’s jaw appears to be a bit more angular, while Pablo’s is more rounded. Maybe it’s the just the expression that’s the same as if to say, “boring, this article’s over.”
